We are getting excited for BIS 2023-2024

Friday, Aug 18:
  • Incoming 6th Graders and New 7th or 8th Grade Students 
    • Meet and Gather 8:30 - 9:00 
    • Student Presentation with Mr. Land (Principal) 9:00 - 9:40
    • Parent Information available from: PTA, BCE, Parks and Recreation, Student and Family Engagement
    • 9:45 Parent Information Meeting with Mr. Land
 
Monday, Aug 21:
  • Powerschool Portal opens for student schedule access
 (email will be sent)
 
Thursday, Aug 24: First day of class for students -12:10pm dismissal
 
Friday, Aug 25th: Regular Friday Schedule - 3:10pm dismissal
 
Friday, September 1st: Early Release 1:40pm dismissal
 
Monday, Sept 4th: Labor Day Holiday-No School
 
Thursday, Sept 14th: BIS Back to School Night 6pm - 8pm

    We at BIS will be providing you with most of the supplies you will be using throughout your year, however if you have special pens, notebooks, or organizers that you like using, you may bring those supplies as well. Supplies will be distributed to students through their advisory class, within the first couple days of school


    Each student will be provided with the following supplies.

    For your ELA class

    1 for math and 1 for social studies

    Pocket Folders

    To keep organized, they are in different colors

    Classrooms will also be supplied with:


    1 package

    Dry Erase Markers

    2 package 

    Post-its

    Glue Sticks

    1 box of each

    Pencils, Ball Point Pens (blue and black) Highlighters

    Students are responsible for the following

    • Backpack
    • Reusable water bottle, we have water filling stations on campus
    • *optional computer mouse
    • *optional personal hand sanitizer
