RETURNING STUDENT REGISTRATION
TDAP BOOSTER REQUIRED FOR SCHOOL
Parents and Guardians:
A new State law requires that all incoming 7th-12th graders receive a whooping cough booster shot, called Tdap, before entering school. Students must receive the Tdap booster prior to the beginning of school in order to begin attending school at BIS.
We encourage you to contact your child’s doctor now to schedule an immunization appointment and provide the school with proof of the booster shot. Some children may qualify for free immunizations through the Vaccines for Children Program.
Pertussis, also known as whooping cough, spreads widely throughout California. This vaccine can help keep your child and family protected.
