About BIS » Burlingame Intermediate School Library

Burlingame Intermediate School Library

Every campus houses a safe, welcoming, inclusive, and flexible library environment for students, staff, and currently-enrolled families to use print and electronic resources. Our goal is to develop self-sufficient, lifelong readers and learners in a diverse and ever-changing world.

Library programing includes learning library procedures, organization, and behavior expectations in the library setting. Students enjoy weekly story times and individual library choice checkout. We teach Digital Literacy and Well-Being Curriculum using Common Sense Media learning resources.  Many students at Burlingame Intermediate School enjoy the library during lunch time quietly reading, talking with friends, or sparing off to a rousing game of chess. Our doors are open daily. Please feel free to stop by.

Burlingame Public Library - Community Partner

Burlingame Public Library
We are fortunate to have a rich community library partner in Burlingame Public Library. With its beautiful, downtown library location and neighborhood Easton branch library, resources are readily available to our students.

Programming at the library includes book groups, art projects, game events, and high-interest topic and discussion groups.

Students are encouraged to participate in the winter and summer reading programs where they are incentivized to be a daily reader.
